Fans of funk get ready to shake your booty, for the latest track from Nashville-to-Nola ambassadors of groove, Toyesauce, are back with “Good As It Gets Anymore.” With George Porter, Jr. – famed bass player for The Meters – locking down the low end with a thick roux, and Soulhat’s Kevin McKinney stirring the pot with extra-spicey vocals, the track brings the heat like a summer’s day down on the bayou. Top it all off with some of the greasiest horn parts this side of Avery Island and flat-out gnarly guitar pickin’/riffin’, and you’ll be hankering for a backyard crab boil while throwing your cares to the wind.

As the outfit’s majordomo, Leon Toye, says of the Crewe he’s assembled, “With Stanton Moore and George Porter Jr. on the song, I’m humbled to even plug in my guitar. These guys are just the tip of the talent iceberg – an army of other incredible musicians are on this project, with sonic goodies all day long.”
