Did you forget to thaw your turkey in time? Did your family bail on coming into town due to illness?  Or are you just like me and solely use your kitchen oven for shoe storage? No judgment here. Also, if you end up spending Thanksgiving Day alone in your car in the Krystal parking lot with a sackful of Krystals and a chili cheese pup (I did that in 2020) – sometimes that is absolutely self-care. It’s always important to take care of our mental health, especially during the holidays.

Fear not, fellow procrastinating friends, there are still a few great restaurants around town with reservations still available. Starting at brunch time through late-night dinner, here are my top picks for Thanksgiving reservations you can still snag around Nashville.

The Continental

Feast on the traditional a la carte brunch menu for the occasion, or book between 3-6 p.m. for the 5-course Prix Fixe Thanksgiving Dinner menu. The special occasion menu leads off with choice of their signature salad or pumpkin bisque, followed by a visit from the beloved pate en croute cart. Entree options are the Continental’s signature prime rib, Joyce Farms Heritage turkey roulade, or Ora King salmon, served with sweet potato, poppyseed leek Parker House rolls, and dessert. Prix Fixe runs $145 per person, bookable on Resy.

Carne Mare

On Thanksgiving, Carne Mare is serving a 3-course Prix Fixe menu from 1p.m. until 8 p.m. Highlight entree options for the day include foie gras-stuffed turkey roulade, roast prime rib, salt-baked Florida red snapper,  and a supplemental 30-day dry-aged tomahawk for two. Guests select an appetizer, entree, and dessert, while sides come served family style. The menu is $125 per adult and $60 per child under 10 (excluding beverage, tax, and gratuity). Tansuo

Head to Morph Hospitality’s modern Chinese restaurant for a fun family-style Thanksgiving feast, complete with Sichuan-style Peking Duck. The feast includes bao buns, drunken Chinese long green beans, duck fat potato puree with foie gras gravy, and cranberry pad Thai. Pre-order the Thanksgiving Duck Feast here. The full a la carte menu is also available, plus features like turkey leg confit firecracker wontons and Chinese 5-spice pumpkin cheesecake. Reservations are available on OpenTable.

Ellington’s at the Fairlane

The Fairlane’s (TK FLOOR?) midcentury modern restaurant opens from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. for a 3-course Prix Fixe menu for $69 per person. Executive Chef Chris Ayala’s menu includes cream of mushroom soup, quince-glazed duck, and herb-stuffed branzino, plus peppermint brulee for a sweet finish. Walk-ins are welcome and accommodated based on availability, but reservations, available on Tock, are recommended.

Church and Union

This Charlotte import colors outside the lines of traditional Thanksgiving spreads with a 3-course Prix Fixe menu featuring tempura delicata squash rings, petite filet, and apple thyme spice cake. The fixed menu runs $70 per adult and $30 per child. Reservations are available on OpenTable.

Stateside Kitchen at Dream Nashville

The downtown hotel’s restaurant is serving holiday staples like the turkey plate with all the fixins, and a prime rib roast with garlic green beans, mashed potatoes, and horseradish cream. Reservations are highly encouraged and available on OpenTable.

Eddie V’s

For those who might be entertaining out-of-town family wandering the honky-tonks of Lower Broadway, you can walk over for a traditional Thanksgiving meal at the seafood-centric spot at Fifth + Broadway.  This year’s menu offers a slow-roasted sliced turkey dinner complete with brioche-sage stuffing, pan gravy with Mirepoix Brunoise, cranberry chutney, sides, and bread. For dessert, they’ll serve pumpkin pie tartlets with pecan ice cream. Reservations are available on OpenTable.
