Meghan Linsey Releases “Humble Again”

A raw, soulful anthem launches her next chapter

Meghan Linsey releases “Humble Again,” a deeply personal new single that marks the start of a bold new chapter. Out now, the track cuts deep with themes of loss, resilience, and starting over. Her voice is raw, and her message is clear: this is Meghan Linsey, grounded and unapologetically authentic.

“This song is a reflection of everything I’ve been through—loss, resilience, starting over,” Linsey says. “It’s raw, it’s real, and it’s one of the most honest songs I’ve ever written. I’ve always believed that the best music comes from the most vulnerable places, and ‘Humble Again’ is just that. It’s the beginning of a new me—one that’s stronger, more grounded, and ready to share my truth in the most authentic way possible.”

The new single follows “Exes and Friends” and “If You Need Me, Don’t,” two genre-blending tracks that showcased Linsey’s range and lyrical bite. Her upcoming album—produced by Grammy-nominated husband and longtime collaborator Tyler Cain—promises her most honest and emotionally rich work yet.

A journey of grit, growth, and soul

Meghan Linsey doesn’t just sing—she commands every stage she steps on. Millions discovered her on The Voice, where she became the first stolen contestant to reach the finale and finished as Season 8 runner-up. Others may remember her powerhouse performance on The Kelly Clarkson Show. But long before that, Linsey made waves in country music as half of the duo Steel Magnolia.

She and her partner won Season Two of Can You Duet, signed to Big Machine Records, and landed a Top 5 country hit with “Keep On Lovin’ You.” Steel Magnolia earned ACM and CMA nominations and toured with the biggest names in country. Their rapid rise included appearances on The Late Show with David Letterman and Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Going Solo

When the duo ended, Linsey didn’t slow down. She launched a solo career, dropped two EPs, and answered a last-minute call to join The Voice in 2015. She flew to LA the next day—and the rest unfolded fast. Her performances topped the iTunes charts, and her spine-tingling rendition of “Amazing Grace” hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Christian chart. She also became the first Voice finalist to perform an original song in the finale.

Since then, Linsey has evolved into one of the most compelling voices in modern music. Her collaborations with Grammy winners like Aloe Blacc, Chingy, and Fred Schneider of the B-52’s are notable, as well as features in Rolling Stone, Billboard, and People. And she reimagined the Queer Eye theme song with a soulful New Orleans spin—her version now opens every episode of the Emmy-winning Netflix series.
